What Should a Monthly AI Marketing Management Plan Actually Schedule?

November 06, 2026•3 min read

A monthly management fee should correspond to an operating plan you can understand. That does not mean every month needs an identical number of pages, ads, or messages. It means the business and provider know what is being maintained, what is being improved, and which decisions can change the plan.

Before signing, ask how a normal month is organized. If the answer is simply “ongoing optimization,” request a concrete example. You need to see how a useful improvement moves from observation to proposal, approval, release, and review, alongside routine care for the assignment already running.

Separate three kinds of monthly work

Keep it accurate. This includes the agreed checks and business-information changes that keep the current marketing path dependable. Ask which sources the provider uses and which updates your team must report.

Improve a known problem. This is a planned change supported by evidence: clarifying a confusing service choice, addressing an unanswered buyer question, or refining the agreed inquiry process. It should have a reason beyond producing more activity.

Investigate an exception. Something unexpected may need attention before the planned improvement. That could be a broken destination, conflicting service information, or a change in the business. Define which situations interrupt the queue and who can make that decision.

Ask to see a monthly planning card

  • Field: Observation; Useful entry: Buyers repeatedly misunderstand what an initial visit includes

  • Field: Proposed work; Useful entry: Revise the approved explanation in the relevant buying path

  • Field: Business input; Useful entry: Service manager confirms the inclusion and exclusion

  • Field: Acceptance evidence; Useful entry: Correct explanation published and handoff checked

  • Field: Review point; Useful entry: Examine the next relevant inquiries for the same confusion

The entry is illustrative. Its value is that every part can be discussed. “Publish four AI pieces” would tell you a quantity, but not whether those pieces address anything your customers need. Ask how the provider chooses between the next proposed tasks when time or scope is limited.

Define what happens to unfinished work

A request may wait because the owner has not approved an offer. Another may be displaced by a problem in a live buying path. Decide whether the item carries forward, requires another estimate, or is removed from the plan. Do not assume that every unused activity converts into an unlimited future balance.

Ask the same question about urgent requests. If you change a service midway through the month, what planned work moves? A transparent tradeoff is better than quietly reducing the quality of every task. Keep the reason in the work record so the next review does not mistake a deliberate priority change for missed delivery.

Google Ads change history can show account changes, while Analytics annotations can record relevant business events. Those records can support a work review; neither explains the provider’s priorities on its own.

For the results discussion, see our owner-reporting guide. For how changes should reach a reviewer, use the marketing approval workflow.
