How to Approve AI Written Marketing Content Without Slowing Every Edit

November 05, 2026•2 min read

Your reviewer should know why a draft needs their attention. Sending an entire article to the owner with “thoughts?” invites a rewrite and still leaves factual questions unresolved. Give the marketing team a short approval policy organized around what can go wrong if a statement is incorrect.

Divide edits by who knows the answer

Routine spelling and formatting changes can often follow a simple editorial check. Product specifications, availability and service boundaries need a person who owns those facts. Pricing, contractual language, customer quotations and regulated claims may need additional authorized review. Document the actual decision makers inside your business.

Consider a company selling commercial kitchen equipment. The person reviewing a new buying guide can approve the tone, but an engineer should confirm installation requirements. If a product changes, reviewers need to know which published pages rely on the old specification. Keep a record of the approved source material and revision date alongside the draft.

Ask precise questions in the approval request

Send the proposed sentence, its source and the decision required. “Can this unit be installed outdoors under cover?” is easier to answer than “Please review our whole website.” Provide a clear way to return corrections and hold publication when an important fact is unresolved.

AI can help organize material and suggest clearer wording. Google advises that AI assisted content should still offer value and accuracy to people. Define how your editor checks the work in your own business.

Measure both time awaiting approval and corrections required after publication. If the same claim repeatedly causes delays, create an approved source entry for it with an owner and review date. That gives a managed team more room to work while leaving important business decisions with the people authorized to make them.
