Should Each Business Location Have Its Own Website Page?

November 05, 2026•2 min read

A separate page makes sense when the visitor needs a different answer for that location. Think about a person choosing between two branches on a lunch break. They may care about inventory pickup, accessibility, appointment hours or which services the branch actually offers. A change of city name alone gives them little to act on.

Interview the branch before designing its page

Ask whoever answers the phone to name the most common reason someone chooses this branch and the most common misunderstanding. Gather the address, entrance instructions, opening hours, locally available services and the right contact route. Confirm the material with an owner who can update it later.

Consider a supplier with a showroom and a distribution depot in the same metro area. A useful showroom page describes samples, consultation appointments and where to park. The depot page should explain pickup windows, vehicle access and whether a customer needs an order number. Those are different visits with different next steps.

Make the path work in both directions

Link to each location from a readable directory. Show how to choose another branch when someone lands on the wrong one. On a phone, check that tapping the branch number calls that location and submitting its form sends the request to the correct team. Print the branch name on the confirmation so a visitor can spot a mistake immediately.

For a business serving several towns from one office, a single service area page may answer the same questions more clearly. Create a new local page when you can show distinct work, coverage or instructions that matter to a buyer. Assign a branch owner to confirm changes to hours and services. An outdated local page can send the right customer to the wrong door.

Before launching in a new market

Ask the person who will fulfill the first job to check three details: the boundary they actually cover, the service buyers call it locally, and the person who will receive an inquiry. A shop that collects equipment from a new town twice a week can describe those days on its service area page. Only create a separate page if local buyers need a distinct set of answers. Send a test inquiry with the local team before promoting the new location.
